Designer, tailor and stylist Dean Ellis (everyone calls him Ellis ) brings more than three decades of creative experience to every commission. His earliest inspiration came from his mother, Gloria, a gifted seamstress who introduced him to the joy of creating with his hands. “Even now, when I look down at my hands while sewing, I sometimes see hers.”

Gloria was meticulous, opinionated and not easily impressed by anything, including her own work. Ellis inherited all three qualities. Anyone who has worked with him knows that pleasing the client is only part of the process; Ellis must believe in the piece too. When something captures his imagination, his excitement pushes the idea further until what is being created feels exceptional to them both.

ELLIS ESQ is a custom clothing house founded on the belief that individuality should be visible and exceptional, & service should feel personal. Bringing design, tailoring and styling together, the house creates distinctive wardrobes for weddings, red carpets milestone occasions and everyday life.
